If you're a fan of Nissan cars, we invite you to our Indianapolis Nissan dealership to take a look at the 2016 Nissan Altima. The Nissan Altima was redesigned three years ago and this year's model has a V-shaped grill and sharp-looking headlights, which make it impossible to misidentify this midsize sedan as any other car.

Whether you're looking for a roomy family-friendly vehicle like the Nissan Altima, a versatile crossover SUV such as the 2016 Nissan Murano, or something else, stop by Tom Wood Nissan today. We have an inventory of new and pre-owned vehicles that you can preview online or in-person. When you find a vehicle that appeals to you, we'll be happy to set you up on a test drive.

2016 Nissan Altima Details

With seating for five, the 2016 Nissan Altima is available in five trims: the Base, S, SR, SV, and SL. These trims are distinguishable from one another by a prefix that indicates the type of engine a given vehicle has. If a vehicle is demarked with a 2.5, it has a four-cylinder engine. If it has a 3.5 in its name, the car has the V6 engine that is only available in the SR and SL trims. With a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a Nissan Altima produces 182 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. With the bigger engine, an SR generates 270 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque.

2016 Nissan Altima Safety and Special Features

As a Nissan dealer, we appreciate that the standard safety features on all Nissan Altima trims include antilock brakes and stability and traction control. If you get a 2.5 S trim or higher, your vehicle will also have a rearview camera. You'll automatically get blind-spot monitoring and a rear traffic alert if you buy or lease an SV or SL. If you purchase an SL, your car will also have forward collision warning and mitigation systems. As a Nissan dealer, we're excited to tell you that the 2016 Nissan Altima received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's top rating for its performance in various crash tests, including side impact, roof strength, and whiplash reduction tests.

As it is with new Nissan cars in general, the higher the Altima trim you buy, the more standard features you'll get to enjoy. However, you won't be disappointed with what the base Nissan Altima trim has to offer. Its standard features include keyless remote entry, push-button ignition, Bluetooth and audio connectivity, a multi-speaker stereo which has a CD player, and the automaker's Easy Fill Tire Alert.
