2022 Nissan Sentra adds new Midnight Edition and All-Weather Packages

Now entering its third model year since its breakthrough redesign for 2020, Nissan's popular Sentra compact sedan adds a new Midnight Edition Package - complete with black exterior trim and special black 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels - offered on the sporty Sentra SR grade. Also added is a new All-Weather Package for the SV grade.

The 2022 Sentra continues with its eye-catching styling, comprehensive suite of intelligent driving technologies including advanced connectivity and confident performance. And, with Nissan Safety Shield® 360 standard across all grade levels, the 2022 Sentra offers the most standard safety features in its class¹. It also offers class-exclusive available Intelligent Forward Collision Warning² and class-exclusive standard Rear Automatic Braking.

Sculpted, modern design
Sentra's powerful exterior design shares muscular, sporty elements from models like Altima and Maxima, including a low roofline, wide shoulders, signature V-motion grille and available thin projector LED headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Other exterior features include available LED fog lights, heated outside mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, body color door handles and an available power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature. In addition, Intelligent Auto Headlights and High Beam Assist are standard on all Sentra grade levels.

Sentra SR provides an even more athletic appearance with a sport-style rear spoiler, black- painted side mirrors with integrated turn signals, lower body side sill extensions, 18- inch diamond-cut aluminum-alloy wheels, dark chrome V-motion grille and chrome exhaust finisher.

The 2022 Sentra offers a number of dramatic two-tone exterior paint combinations available on SR, including Gun Metallic/Super Black, Aspen White TriCoat/Super Black (premium color), Monarch Orange Metallic/Super Black (premium color) and Electric Blue Metallic/Super Black.

The slate of eight available single-color exterior colors includes Electric Blue Metallic, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Aspen White TriCoat (premium color), Fresh Powder, Rosewood Metallic and Scarlet Ember TriCoat (premium color).

Refinement, comfort and versatility
The 2022 Sentra features a refined interior that features quality and comfort - creating a high-quality experience for driver and passengers that is unexpected in the compact sedan segment.

Attention to detail and craftsmanship can be found throughout the interior, with satin chrome aluminum accents, the intuitive placement of controls, contrast seat stitching and a standard D-shaped steering wheel. They combine to give the interior a premium feel, added to what is among the quietest cabins in its class.

Extra care is taken on driver touch points like the feel of the steering wheel in the driver's hand, the smooth operation of the dials and switches and available quilted leather-appointed seats.

 Standard comfort and convenience features include Nissan's renowned Zero Gravity front seats, which help optimize posture positioning for enhanced comfort - along with best-in-class front legroom⁴ - during long distance driving. A 6-way manual driver's seat and 4-way manual front passenger's seat are standard, with a 6-way power driver's seat with 2-way lumbar support also available. The rear seat is a 60/40 split fold-down design. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are also available - part of Sentra's unexpected premium content.

Seating materials range from standard or upgraded cloth to Prima-TexTM leatherette and sport cloth with orange stitching (SR grade). Premium quilted leather-appointed seating (front and rear) is offered on SV grades as part of the SV Premium Package.

Other interior features include front and rear door pockets, front center console with padded armrest and cupholders, rear seat armrest with cupholders, tilt and telescopic steering column, power windows with driver's one-touch auto up/down with auto reverse, power door locks with auto-locking feature, remote keyless entry with push button start, RearView Monitor and Rear Door Alert⁵. Also available are Nissan Intelligent Key® and remote engine start.

Enhanced convenience and connectivity
The 2022 Sentra is designed to make owners feel in control and safely connected to the world around them. At the heart of that connectivity is a 4.2-inch digital multi-information driver's display and a standard 7.0-inch color touchscreen with Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, Apple CarPlay® integration and Android Auto™. Available is a 7.0-inch digital Advanced Drive-Assist Display paired to a floating 8.0-inch NissanConnect® touchscreen center display.

 In addition, Sentra offers driver assist technologies like available Intelligent Cruise Control and class-exclusive available Intelligent Around View® Monitor⁷ for a more confident drive.

Standard audio on Sentra is an AM/FM system with four speakers and USB connection port (Type A) for iPod® and other compatible devices. Sentra SV and SR grades add two front USB ports (1 Type A, 1 Type C) and one charge-only USB port (Type A) at the rear of the center console. Other available audio systems include a 6-speaker AM/FM system and an 8-speaker Bose® Premium Audio system. Also available is SiriusXM® Radio (SiriusXM® subscription required, sold separately).

A confident driving experience
The 2022 Sentra provides a confident driving experience through a combination of generous power and a suspension design that carefully balances responsive handling and occupant ride comfort.

The fuel-efficient 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine is rated at 149 hp and 146 lb.-ft of torque, backed by the latest generation Xtronic transmission with a D-mode step shift program that simulates shifts and helps provide enhanced drivability with a stable, natural and crisp shift feel.

Fuel economy is rated at 29 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined for the S and SV grades and 28 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined for the SR grade.

Several stylish wheel and tire combinations are offered, starting with 16-inch wheels with 205/60R16 all-season tires with 205/60R16 all-season tires on S grade and 16- inch aluminum-alloy wheels 205/6R16 all-season tires on SV grade. Sentra SV is also available with 17-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/50R17 all-season tires, while 18-inch 10-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels with 215/45R18 all-season tires are standard on the SR grade. The new Midnight Edition Package includes black-painted 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Standard Nissan Safety Shield® 360
Again for 2022, Sentra offers the most standard safety features in its class1, including Nissan Safety Shield® 360, a suite of six advanced driver-assist systems. Nissan Safety Shield® 360 includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.

Intelligent Forward Collision Warning is standard on all models, along with Intelligent Driver Alertness⁹. Sentra also offers Tire Pressure Monitoring System with position monitoring and available class-exclusive Easy-Fill Tire Alert system.

In addition, Sentra's list of standard safety and security features include the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors; roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection; driver and front passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags; rear passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags; and driver and front passenger knee supplemental air bags.

Three well-equipped models
The 2022 Sentra grade walk includes S, SV and SR grades. Four option packages are also offered.

Sentra S includes 16-inch steel wheels with full covers, remote keyless entry with push button start, Apple CarPlay® integration and Android Auto™ and much more.
Sentra SV adds 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/60R16 all-season tires, NissanConnect® with an 8.0-inch color touchscreen display, 6-speaker audio system, Intelligent Cruise Control, upgraded cloth interior and more.

The sporty Sentra SR includes 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 215/45R18 all- season tires, dark chrome V-motion grille, LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights, LED fog lights, sport cloth interior with orange stitching, rear spoiler and lower body side sill extensions.

The new All-Weather Package, available on SV, includes Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel and remote engine start⁶.

SV Premium Package includes 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature, quilted leather-appointed seats (front and rear), 6-way power driver's seat with 2-way power lumbar and leather shift knob.

The SR Premium Package features thin projector LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights, power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, Prima-Tex™-appointed seats (front and rear), 6-way power driver's seat with 2-way power lumbar, 8-speaker Bose® Premium Audio System, Intelligent Around View® Monitor⁷, sunvisors with illuminated vanity mirrors, Wi-Fi hotspot and NissanConnect® Services.

And finally, the new Midnight Edition Package includes black-painted V-motion grille, rear spoiler and rear diffuser, black exterior badging and black 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
