Tom Wood Nissan Congratulates Hans Spikerman

After 17 fabulous years of service at Tom Wood Nissan, Hans Spikerman has retired this week. Hans has served in many capacities throughout his career with Tom Wood. Bringing years of certified technician experience when he started at Tom Wood, Hans has worked as a service technician and a Service Advisor for us before being promoted to Service Dispatcher in 1996.

Hans is retiring to enjoy life with his wife Jenny, his children and especially to spend valuable time with his grandchildren. Tom Wood Director of Fixed Operations, Don Frick says, "Hans has brought so much to not only the Nissan store, but the entire Tom Wood Group. He's so full of life and energy. I have no idea how he will keep from going stir crazy without working." Hans says his wife Jenny, who retired four years ago, will be a good teacher on how to relax and enjoy retirement.

Hans was actually supposed to retire at the end of December, but chose to leave on November 30th instead. Hans has been acting as a professional Santa Claus for eight years now. He retired a month early because he has 12 scheduled Santa visits so far this December. His Santa stops include schools, retirement homes and churches to name a few.

Tom Wood Nissan Service Manager, Joe Feltman said, "Hans has touched the lives of so many employees at all Tom Wood stores over the years. We will not only miss his work ethic, but also his big friendly personality. Hans will definitely be missed". Congratulations Hans, I mean Santa!
