Not only is the LEAF emission free, it is also partially made from recycled materials. It is built to meet or exceed federal safety regulations and Nissan's own rigorous internal testing. The Nissan LEAF has also earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as well as a 5-star overall vehicle rating for safety as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's New Car Assessment Program. The battery is located under the seats and is fully integrated into the body structure. It has been tested for impact safety and meets or exceeds all regulatory standards.
Just because it's safe doesn't mean comfort or amenities were sacrificed. The Nissan LEAF offers loads of features, including air conditioning, navigation system, stereo with Bluetooth, power steering and windows. It also includes amazing cold weather features such as a battery warmer, heated steering wheel, and heated seats in both the front and rear.
