Tom Wood Nissan is excited to announce that the Heisman Trophy will be in-store later this week!

College football's most prestigious award will be at Tom Wood Nissan on 96th Street November 21st through November 23rd and we'd like to invite you to stop by and see it in person. You can get a commemorative photo with the trophy, and while you're there you can enter to win an Old Oaken Bucket prize package - 4 tickets for the November 30th Purdue vs. IU game in Bloomington, parking pass, and 4 hospitality passes for food and beverages at Hoosier Village!

Known initially as the DAC Trophy, the Heisman was first presented to Jay Berwanger, the legendary "one man gang" from the University of Chicago on December 9, 1935. The bronze statue award depicts a football player side-stepping and straight-arming a tackler. The idea of an award to the most outstanding college football player was originally conceived by members of the Downtown Athletic Club, formerly located in the southern end of Manhattan. Renowned for its devotion to sports, members of the Downtown Athletic Club appointed a Club Trophy Committee charged with conducting the first award presentation at the conclusion of the 1935 football season.
"The Heisman Trophy, since it was first awarded in 1935, has recognized the top performers in college football. As a company that prides itself in delivering innovation and performance for all, it's a natural association," stated Jon Brancheau, Nissan North America's vice president of marketing. "The fan response to our Heisman-related activities, from the Heisman House commercials to the annual Heisman Trophy Tour and awards sweepstakes, has been tremendous," he continued.
