As your local Indianapolis, IN Nissan dealers, we loved seeing the Midnight Edition package when it was first made available on the 2016 Nissan Maxima SR. The package proved to be so popular with consumers that it’s now responsible for approximately 85 percent of the 2016 Nissan Maxima SR trim’s sales.
When the Midnight Edition package was initially rolled out, it was only available with black exterior paint. Now that the Nissan brand has decided to offer the Midnight Edition package on six more Nissan models, the package comes in a variety of colors, including black, white, gray, and red.
Six new model-year Nissan automobiles are eligible for the Midnight Edition package. These vehicles include:
· 2017 Nissan Sentra
· 2017 Nissan Maxima
· 2017 Nissan Rogue
· 2017 Nissan Murano
· 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
Every Nissan vehicle that has the Midnight Edition package has things in common with the other cars that have the same package. These components include black wheels, a black spoiler, black mirror caps, and optional special floor mats.
The Nissan brand was the fastest growing brand in the United States in 2016. The automaker is optimistic that the mid-year expansion of the availability of its Midnight Edition package will help the company keep its sales momentum going in the right direction.
“The idea of expanding the availability of the Midnight Edition package was driven by customers who loved the blackout treatment on [the Nissan] Maxima SR and asked for it to be available on other popular Nissan vehicles,” said Christian Meunier, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, Nissan North America, Inc., chairman, Nissan Canada. “The six models offering Midnight Edition packages account for more than 75 percent of our U.S. sales, so we think they will find a receptive audience.”
