While it’s understandable why you’d think of the 565-horsepower 2017 Nissan GT-R when you think about racing, a recent multi-year agreement between the Nissan brand and the Circuit of The Americas shows you should think of other Nissan cars, too. That’s because the Nissan brand has been chosen to provide the official truck of the Circuit of The Americas.

As part of the agreement, the automaker will supply a number of Nissan pickup trucks, including the 2017 Nissan TITAN and the 2017 Nissan TITAN XD. The car manufacturer will also provide a 2017 Nissan Armada and a 2017 Nissan GT-R. The automobiles the Nissan brand provides will be used as safety vehicles and track sweepers and they’ll be instrumental in maintaining the race track.

"Nissan is looking forward to a great partnership with COTA in the years ahead, where we can showcase our Nissan trucks in their natural setting – working hard every day," said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. "With every [Nissan] TITAN half-ton and [Nissan] TITAN XD covered by "America's Best Truck Warranty," we're confident that they are more than up to the task."

"This partnership with Nissan is going to be a great addition to Circuit of The Americas," said David Pace, Vice President of Operations at Circuit of The Americas. "Our safety team is one of the most advanced of any other racetrack in the world, having the best-trained staff using the most advanced tools on the market. Adding the reliability and strength of the Nissan TITAN is a welcome addition and it is going to make our team that much stronger."
