As Nissan dealers serving Carmel, IN and surrounding areas, we’re thrilled to tell you that the 2018 Nissan Altima has arrived at our location. Given the recent arrival of the new Nissan Altima, we thought now would be a great time to tell you about some of the changes the popular sedan experienced before it was rolled out for the 2018 model-year.

The first thing car shoppers will notice is that the automaker we represent simplified the vehicle’s model lineup. The Nissan brand dropped the base 2.5 and 3.5 SR models for the new model year. This means that the 2018 Nissan Altima is only offered in the following attractive trims: 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, and 3.5 SL.

The numbers in the name of each trim still indicate whether the sedan has a 2.5-liter engine or a 3.5-liter engine under its hood. Regardless of the engine a 2018 Nissan Altima has, the sedan will have a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Other big changes for the new Nissan Altima involve standard safety equipment and technology features. For the 2018 model-year, the Nissan brand made automatic emergency braking and an advanced forward collision warning system standard on every Nissan Altima trim. For the top-of-the-line 3.5 SL model, the automaker added adaptive cruise control, NissanConnect with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as standard features.

When you visit our Indianapolis, IN Nissan dealership, you’ll see that the 2018 Nissan Altima looks great alongside the 2017 Nissan Rogue and the other Nissan vehicles that are part of our new car inventory. The only way the new Nissan Altima could look any better is with you sitting in the driver’s seat.
