The Nissan brand has long been known for making meaningful innovations in the design of its automobiles. You can see proof of this in every vehicle we sell at our Nissan dealership, including the 2017 Nissan Rogue and the 2017 Nissan Murano. When it comes to the car maker’s lineup for the 2018 model-year, there’s even more evidence of the Nissan brand’s innovative spirit.

In recent weeks, the automaker we represent announced that ProPilot Assist and a unique Rear Door Alert will be incorporated into the Nissan brand’s 2018 lineup. Being Nissan dealers, we’re happy to tell you that an Intelligent Rear View Mirror will also make its debut in the new model year.

This innovative feature incorporates an LCD monitor into a traditional rearview mirror. This monitor helps to provide drivers with a clear rearward view that’s unimpeded by common interior obstacles, such as cargo and tall traveling companions.

The 2018 Nissan Armada will be the first Nissan automobile that will have the car maker’s Intelligent Rear View Mirror. The Nissan Armada will be the only SUV in the full-size, non-luxury automotive segment to have this technology. The Nissan brand’s Intelligent Rear View Mirror will be standard on the Platinum trim of the new Nissan Armada.

"Not since a magic mirror of children's fables has a mirror seemed to have such special powers as the new I-RVM," said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. "It provides a clear, expanded field of view under a wide range of conditions – giving the driver the best possible view of the rear flanks no matter how tall the passengers in the back seat or how many balloons you have to take to that party."

If you want to see how the Intelligent Rear View Mirror works, we invite you to visit our Indianapolis, IN Nissan dealership when the 2018 Nissan Armada arrives at our location later this month.
