If you’re shopping for an automobile, we recommend that you take a trip over to our Nissan dealership near Fishers, IN to see our extensive inventory of the latest Nissan cars. When you arrive, you’ll see that our inventory includes some great models, including the 2017 Nissan Murano. While it hasn’t arrived at our location just yet, the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder is scheduled to join the Nissan car lineup later this year.

When it arrives at our Nissan dealership, the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder will show off a few changes from its predecessor. In fact, the Nissan Pathfinder will be the first Nissan vehicle to have an innovative Rear Door Alert system included in its extensive list of standard equipment.

The Nissan brand’s Rear Door Alert System was developed by two of the automaker’s engineers who also happen to be mothers. This system was created to remind drivers to check their back seats. The system will issue a series of noticeable honks as motorists walk away from their 2018 Nissan Pathfinder to remind them to look in the back of their SUV. While this technology has the ability to save lives if drivers travel with their kids or pets in the rear of their vehicle, it can also remind you to remove your groceries or dry cleaning just as readily.

In addition to the Rear Door Alert being standard on every Nissan Pathfinder trim, every model will also have standard automatic emergency braking. The SUV will be offered in a new Midnight Edition appearance package as well. And that’s not all! Four more USB ports have been added to the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, giving the SUV a total of six. The new Nissan Pathfinder is eligible for two new colors, too. These colors include Scarlet Ember and Midnight Pine.

If you want to learn more about the changes you’ll see on the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, give us a call or stop by Tom Wood Nissan on East 96th Street today.
