The 2022 Nissan GT-R rides the cutting edge of sports car engineering. This incredible vehicle has a long list of impressive features and options that will impress all who have a need for speed.

Under the Hood and On the Track

The 2022 Nissan GT-R is available in three potent trim levels: the Premium, Track Edition, and NISMO, also know as the Nissan Motor Sports trim. Two engine setups power this awesome car. The first is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 granting 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The second available engine is standard on the NISMO. It is a 3.8-liter turbocharged V-6 generating 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque.

This car comes with an all-wheel drive train and a six-speed automatic transmission, making the run from zero to 60 in a mind-bending 2.9 seconds. The ride quality is extremely firm when the pedal is pressed to the floor, but that is to be expected with a vehicle capable of such swift acceleration. Its handling is remarkably smooth around corners, so you'll have no problem tackling them once you've peeled yourself off of your seat after running down the track's stretch.

A Sharp Exterior Built for Speed

The exterior of the 2022 Nissan GT-R is as smooth as silk, making it particularly aerodynamic-looking. It comes with two pairs of round taillights, cool teardrop-shaped headlights that run up the sides of the hood, and a compact grille with a heavy-duty crossbar bumper. Other exterior features include a carbon fiber rear wing, wheels that range from 20 to 22-inches in diameter and 9.5 to 11-inches in width, and an interesting pair of rare paint options.

These paint options are extremely limited-edition, available on only 100 GT-Rs each, so get them before they're gone. The coveted paint colors include Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple T-Spec.

Comfortable and Entertaining on the Inside

If you want a swift car with roomy front seating, look no further than the 2022 Nissan GT-R. It comes with a grand range of interior features like dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery with red suede trim, a compact center console, and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system is easy to control, thanks to its console-set rotary knob. The infotainment center also features a built-in GPS navigation system, smart device app mirroring through Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

NissanConnect service access is standard. It includes hands-free text messaging, Bluetooth, streaming audio, voice recognition, a pair of USB data and charging ports, and an HD radio. This epic vehicle comes with an 11-speaker Bose sound system, making it ideal for those who love music as much as they do a good sports car. The cabin of the 2022 Nissan GT-R comes equipped with a combination of active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement systems. The first filters out unwanted exterior and engine sounds, while the second improves the audio quality of the sound system even further.

Other interior features include an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a four-way adjustable passenger's seat, a premium leather interior upgrade, dual rear seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum-trimmed pedals. Steering-wheel-mounted audio controls are standard at all trim levels.

Security Features, Safety Features, and Packages

Your 2022 GT-R won't be going anywhere if you don't want it to, thanks to its engine immobilization system and vehicle security system. The immobilizer ensures that false keys cannot start your vehicle. This car's standard safety features include dual-stage advanced air bags with occupant classification sensors, seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags for the front row, and an energy-absorbing steering column.

The 2022 Nissan GT-R is constructed in a Zone Body format. This means that it has front and rear crumple zones in its frame that are meant to take the force of the impact, sparing the occupants. The hood has buckling creases, so it will take a good portion of the impact to spare the cabin as well. If you experience a collision in your GT-R, you can count on the experienced service staff at Tom Wood Nissan to make it good as new.
Get the all-weather package if you live in a cooler climate. It includes a special coolant mix system and 20-inch Dunlop SP Sport 7010 all-season run-flat tires. The tire pressure monitoring system on the 2022 GT-R keeps an eye on each tire individually, so you won't have to guess which tire the warning light is referring to.

These tires will stay sealed for a while if they end up popped, allowing you to get to a shop before driving can cause far more expensive damage to your wheels, rotors, and axles. The premium interior package comes with premium leather interior accents and hand-stitched semi-aniline leather front seats.

GT-R Special Editions

Two special edition versions of the 2022 Nissan GT-R are available: the NISMO, which is the highest trim on the standard model, and the T-Spec. The NISMO trim comes with NISMO-printed Recaro seats with leather-appointed synthetic suede upholstery, carbon-ceramic brakes with brake air guides, and a NISMO Alcantara synthetic material-wrapped steering wheel.

The T-Spec is powered by a VR38DETT 3.8-liter V-6 engine granting 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. This T-Spec engine is one of the most finely tuned engines on the market in its class. Every single aspect of it that can be hand-tuned is hand-tuned to operating perfection. The 2022 GT-R T-Spec comes with wider front fenders, RAYS aluminum-forged alloy wheels, black hood ducts, carbon-ceramic brakes, and the special Mori Green and Midnight Opal paint colors.

Available Warranties

Two warranties are available for the 2022 Nissan GT-R. The first is a limited warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles. The second, and far more important for a sports car, is a power train warranty that covers five years or 60,000 miles. When these warranties run out, check with the finance and warranty experts at Tim Wood Nissan in Indianapolis, Indiana. They'll show you how you can extend your warranty.
