Triumph Boxing and Martial Arts

Triumph Boxing and Martial Arts offers a boxing program designed to help participants become fitter, stronger, and more confident. The program's boxing sessions include warm-up and stretching, boxing fundamentals, shadow boxing, sparring, nutritional coaching, and more. The boxing program is good for those who are interested in having fun and learning more about the sport as well as for those interested in becoming competitive boxers.

If you're more interested in using boxing as a way to get in shape and aren't interested in competing, give Triumph's one-hour boxing classes a try. Designed to provide a full-body workout, these classes incorporate stretching, jumping rope, shadow-boxing, and interval training.

Indy Boxing Club

Whether you've boxed for years or have never slipped on a pair of gloves, the Indy Boxing Club has something for you. Open to boxers ages 18 and older, USA Boxing certified coaches teach the club's 75-minute classes and focus on proper technique. The facility provides all necessary equipment, but their website states that many boxers prefer to purchase their own hand wraps and gloves.

The Indy Boxing Club is located at 6847 Hillsdale Court inside of Rock Steady Boxing. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8:15 p.m and on two Saturdays a month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Your first class is free; visit the website or call 317-288-7035 to register.

IronFit Boxing

Put a little punch into your workout when you take a class at IronFit Boxing. Featuring group fitness classes designed to provide total body workouts, the facility welcomes beginners as well as seasoned athletes.

Ced's Boxing Academy

Ced's Boxing Academy is a fitness and boxing gym featuring a professional boxing ring. The gym offers several different membership plans that cover a range of fitness needs. A variety of programs, including 30-minute circuit boxing classes, private lessons, boot camp training, self-defense training, and more, are offered throughout the week.

SRG Boxing n Training

The training programs at SRG Boxing n Training incorporate boxing training, strength training, bodybuilding, sports conditioning, and more. The facility provides nutrition education, which focuses on easy ways to incorporate exercise and good nutritional habits into your everyday routine, as well. Every class offered at SRG has a virtual option available via Zoom.

SRG's facility is located at 5436 W 79th St. within the Empower Fitness private studio. Specialized classes, such as prenatal, advanced, and teen sessions, are offered throughout the year, and private, in-home training is available upon request. Existing customers have access to the training facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Note that a fitness assessment is required to participate in a boxing class. Top Level Gym

If you're interested in learning about Muay Thai boxing, a fast-paced, stand-up combat sport that incorporates both boxing and kicking, visit Top Level Gym. You'll get a great workout while learning the basics of self-defense and martial arts. For those who would like to compete, the gym has produced several national champions in Muay Thai boxing as well as a few Boxing Golden Glove recipients. That said, the gym also offers plenty of classes for beginners who just want to have fun while they get in shape.

Headbangers Kickboxing Academy

Headbangers Kickboxing Academy offers classes in mixed martial arts (MMA) and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). While these classes don't teach traditional boxing, both of them incorporate similar techniques and provide good workouts. BJJ classes focus on grappling with an emphasis on ground fighting while MMA classes emphasize striking, throwing, and locking techniques in free-flowing fighting situations. Both aim to improve participants' self-confidence, promote physical fitness, teach self-defense techniques, and build character. 

Headbangers Kickboxing Academy is located at 8015 Pendleton Pike Suite J. It's open 6-9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Multiple classes, including a Baby Kickers class for ages 5-7 and a Little Kickers class for ages 8-12, are offered in addition to the adult classes.
