Imagine getting into a 2017 Nissan Rogue or a 2018 Nissan Maxima and having the vehicle read your thoughts. That would be pretty neat, wouldn’t it?
While having a car read your thoughts may seem far-fetched, it isn’t as far as the Nissan brand is concerned. The automaker we represent is using Brain-to-Vehicle, or B2V, technology to redefine how drivers will interact with their automobiles in the future. This technology is expected to speed up motorists’ reaction times and lead to vehicles that are constantly adapting to drivers to make driving even more pleasurable.
The Nissan brand’s Brain-to-Vehicle technology is capable of interpreting signals from a driver’s brain. The technology decodes these signals to predict a motorist’s actions and detect any discomfort a driver is experiencing.
“When most people think about autonomous driving, they have a very impersonal vision of the future, where humans relinquish control to the machines. Yet B2V technology does the opposite, by using signals from their own brain to make the drive even more exciting and enjoyable,” said Nissan Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci. “Through Nissan Intelligent Mobility, we are moving people to a better world by delivering more autonomy, more electrification, and more connectivity.”
Everyone at our Indianapolis, IN Nissan dealership is excited to tell you that the Nissan brand recently announced that it will demonstrate its B2V technology at the CES 2018 trade show, which will take place in Las Vegas this month. If you’re going to attend CES, you can take a turn in a simulator that demonstrates the Nissan brand’s B2V technology at the automaker’s booth. You can find the Nissan brand’s booth in the North Hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
